Gov. Jerry Brown Signs Bills Reforming PACE Energy-Efficiency Loan Program

Gov. Jerry Brown signed two bills that boost consumer protections for borrowers taking out PACE loans, a type of financing that funds energy-efficient home improvement projects for home improvements.

What Does This Mean For California Homeowners?

Well, for beginners, the government is literally paying you for your home improvements. The government offers full rebates on your PACE loan. Which means you get back every penny paid for the home improvements at the end of the year as long as you don’t miss any payments. For example, the solar panels which will cost you about $69 dollars a month, will be paid back to you in full by the end of the year. The government literally writes you a check at the end of the year in full.

In order to get more people to switch to clean energy the federal and state governments are highly incentivizing homeowners who live in specific zip codes in California with $1000’s of dollars in rebates and incentives that cover all of the costs associated with an energy-efficient home improvement projects installation. They are giving away $0 down to people who qualify for this new program and are in those specific zip codes.

Act Now & Start Saving Money Immediately

The best part about determining your potential savings is that there is absolutely no obligation to do anything until you realize the savings are on their way to you. We are experiencing some of the highest rebate, tax credits, and other incentives we have seen in years and many of them will expire this year. What would you do with extra money in your pocket AND lower power bills?
